PhD, Computer Science Toronto, Canada

Arman Hamzehlou Kahrizi

Professor and Program Coordinator at Humber Polytechnic. Postdoctoral Fellow and Contract Lecturer at Toronto Metropolitan University.

I build simulation and applied AI systems, and I teach people to build software. My doctoral work produced a virtual reality platform for explosive ordnance disposal and critical incident training, along with a framework for measuring whether simulation training actually works. Since 2021 I have taught college and graduate courses in person and online, built courses from outline to full Rise 360 delivery, and coordinated two programs. I also lead development of a multi-tenant course marketplace on AWS and run AI teaching assistants in graduate courses.

Designer and developer

Alice and Snape, AI teaching assistants

AI TAs for a graduate research methods course. Students get guided, assignment-specific feedback before they submit, and instructors get a portal with per-student logs and advisory marks. They run on a departmental server behind TMU single sign-on for about $2 per course term.
